Oral communications must be in English.

Duration

• Keynote Speakers will have 20-25 minutes to present, followed by 5-10 minutes of discussion.
• Presenters of selected abstracts will have 10-15 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes of discussion.

Technical information

Presentations should be sent to uphummel-conference@epfl.ch by December 8th. For a smooth and successful presentation experience, we recommend that all presenters conduct a preliminary test of their materials prior to their scheduled session. The conference room will be outfitted with a video projector and computer setup to showcase PowerPoint presentations. It’s important to note that exclusively PC computers will be employed for the presentations. Therefore, the file you intend to use must be compatible with this system. We apologize for any inconvenience this might pose for Mac users.

For optimal on-screen display, please opt for a slide aspect ratio of 16:9.

Session moderators

One chairperson will moderate each session. Their responsibilities encompass introducing the speakers and initiating discussions. The moderators will be directed by the Organizing Committee to strictly adhere to the allotted time schedule.
